<aside> 🌻 When the class started, and we were introduced to ungrading, I was nervous. I didn't know how that was meant to work, but I started getting excited about the whole concept once everything was explained. Honestly, I felt most of my work with the responses and the rest; I could've done more to test the waters and explore my options. I suppose that even with the freedom, I was scared to try something different. Writing has always been the easiest way for me to communicate. It's barely been two months, and I'm quite slow to adapt, but I do think I've been making progress. My last response on Stamp was my most thoughtful out of the three. With Task 1: Finding Joy, I wasn't sure how I wanted to showcase it. I'm proud of the content, but I just think I could've used a better outlet for it. I wanted to make a video, but I was lost on how to get started. I've made videos before, but that was because I had to. I've been playing it safe, but I hope that before the semester ends, I'll have outdone myself. I've felt stuck with my creativity these past couple of years, but I want the last months to be enough. I just need to move faster.

<aside> 🌻 What does it feel to work beneath the sun while being told of the scorching heat by a voice hidden somewhere in the shade? Clearly, the sun is the enemy. Every bead of sweat, every blister, and unbearable stench, of course, the sun is to blame for the pain. What of the clouds and occasional rain or the breeze? Mere distractions. It matters not that the sun draws water from the rivers to form the clouds that bring nothing but momentary relief or that its mood directs the winds that offer a brief respite. The sun is the enemy because it brings me suffering. The voices are right. What of the bliss and focus once present before every reminder? The sight of flowers and sounds of chirping birds, mere diversions brought to life by the foe, so then I ask, how does one fight an enemy immutable, one so intricately mingled into the very foundations of the ground I now stand on? I refuse to be enveloped. This work be damned!

It’s complete, almost a summary of the first two. It’s also the only one that differs slightly. I like doing work that is within my comfort zone. I know I’m better at writing than I am at talking. I got to use metaphors and abstract concepts instead of stating my opinions directly (although I did that by referring back to the piece I wrote). I allowed my subconscious to flow.
